Patient Information
Office Policies
Please take a moment to review our office policies before your first visit. These guidelines help us provide consistent, respectful care to every patient.
Our Commitment to You
At BlueZ Health, we believe that a clear, transparent relationship between practitioner and patient is the foundation of effective care. The policies below reflect our commitment to your time, your privacy, and your wellbeing — and we ask that you extend the same respect to our team and to fellow patients.
Appointment Policies
Arriving on Time
Please arrive 10–15 minutes before your scheduled appointment to complete any necessary paperwork. Late arrivals may result in a shortened visit or the need to reschedule, as running over time affects patients scheduled after you.
New Patient Intake
New patients are asked to complete a comprehensive health history form prior to their first visit. This form will be sent to you upon scheduling. A thorough intake allows Christy to make the most of your appointment time.
Appointment Length
Initial consultations are typically 60–90 minutes. Follow-up appointments are generally 30–60 minutes depending on the nature of the visit. Please plan accordingly and avoid scheduling commitments immediately after your appointment.
Children and Guests
You are welcome to bring a support person to your appointment. We ask that children be supervised at all times in the office. If you are bringing a minor patient, a parent or legal guardian must be present for the entire visit.
Cancellation & Rescheduling
We understand that life is unpredictable. We ask for as much notice as possible when you need to cancel or reschedule so that we can offer your time slot to another patient in need.
48-Hour Notice Required
Please notify us at least 48 hours in advance if you need to cancel or reschedule your appointment. This allows us to offer your slot to another patient.
Late Cancellations
Cancellations made with less than 24 hours' notice may be subject to a late cancellation fee. We will always do our best to work with you in extenuating circumstances.
No-Shows
Patients who do not show up for a scheduled appointment without prior notice may be charged a no-show fee and may be asked to prepay for future appointments.
How to Cancel
To cancel or reschedule, please call the office directly or use the contact form on our website. We are not always able to monitor email in real time, so a phone call is preferred for same-day changes.
Payment & Insurance
BlueZ Health is a fee-for-service practice. We do not bill insurance directly, but we are happy to provide documentation to support your own insurance reimbursement claims.
Payment at Time of Service
Payment is due at the time of your appointment. We accept cash, check, and major credit and debit cards. Please speak with our front desk if you have questions about fees before your visit.
Insurance Reimbursement
While we do not bill insurance directly, we can provide a detailed superbill (itemized receipt) that you may submit to your insurance company for potential out-of-network reimbursement. Coverage varies by plan — please check with your insurer in advance.
HSA & FSA
Many naturopathic services qualify for Health Savings Account (HSA) and Flexible Spending Account (FSA) reimbursement. We recommend confirming eligibility with your account administrator.
Membership Pricing
Patients enrolled in a BlueZ Health six-month membership receive discounted rates on services as outlined in their membership agreement. Membership pricing applies automatically at the time of service.
Privacy & Confidentiality
Your health information is private and protected. BlueZ Health complies with all applicable state and federal privacy laws, including HIPAA.
Protected Health Information
All personal and medical information you share with us is kept strictly confidential. We will not disclose your health information to any third party without your written consent, except as required by law.
Records Requests
You have the right to access and receive a copy of your medical records. Records requests should be submitted in writing. Please allow up to 30 days for processing. A reasonable administrative fee may apply.
Telehealth Privacy
Remote consultations are conducted over secure, HIPAA-compliant platforms. We ask that you conduct your telehealth appointment from a private location to protect your own confidentiality.
