Sometimes we have to test deeper to figure out certain deficiencies or health issues. Mosaic lab does just this.
View the list of tests here. They can be ordered to send off to the lab from the Blue Z Health Office.
Two popular tests are the OAT test (organic acids test) and the Comprehensive Stool Analysis test for more severe or complicated gut health issues.
Organic acids are products of the body’s metabolic pathways. Evaluation of these downstream metabolites from various metabolic pathways provides insight into important areas related to gut health, mitochondrial dysfunction, neurotransmitter status, indicators of detoxification and macronutrient breakdown and nutritional status. This makes organic acid testing a valuable tool to assess the functional need for essential nutrients, diet modification, antioxidant protection, detoxification, and other therapies.
The Organic Acids Test (OAT) provides a comprehensive nutritional and metabolic snapshot of an individual’s overall health. The OAT measures 76 organic acids from one easy to collect urine sample.
The Comprehensive Stool Analysis test looks for imbalances in gastrointestinal function can lead to both local and systemic health issues, with the gut microbiome playing a vital role in supporting overall health. Our Comprehensive Stool Analysis profile helps identify the underlying causes of acute and chronic symptoms, enabling providers to create personalized treatment plans.
The Comprehensive Stool Analysis measures key markers of digestion, absorption, and intestinal function, including a comprehensive bacteriology and yeast culture to detect beneficial, imbalanced, and dysbiotic flora. We use gold standard methods, such as PCR, to identify infectious pathogens and parasites, and perform antimicrobial susceptibility testing on cultured bacterial and fungal species to recommend prescriptive and natural agents.
